Powerball is changing their jackpot policy YET AGAIN!
Initially, Powerball announced upon jackpot reset, the starting jackpot
would be $20M (vs their usual $40M) and minimum jackpot increase, in the
event of no winner, would be $2M (vs usual $10M).

NOW Powerball is following MegaMillions' policy as follows:
"Following the April 8, 2020 drawing, minimum jackpot amounts and minimum jackpot increases will be eliminated. Future jackpots will instead be determined by sales and the estimated amount for each drawing will be advertized as usual."

The official CA Lottery website got a make-over around October
18th, 2019. As is the case with most make-overs, it is done
for aesthetics rather than improved functionality.
As a result some features we depended on to provide info to our
users were removed. We quickly adjusted our website to gather
most of this critical data. However, some info, such as the
cash value for each Jackpot is no longer provided.

Since the format change of Oct 2015, Powerball has had seven draws with
three consecutive numbers, but no other draws have had four consecutive
Powerball winning numbers are drawn every Wednesday and
Saturday at 10:59 PM US Eastern time.
Five white balls from a pool of 69 and one red ball (the
Powerball) from a pool of 26 are randomly picked.
The aim of the game is to match preselected number set(s)
to the winning set.
